How Important is Cybersecurity to Mexican Citizenships?
59% of Mexicans use an antivirus software to protect their devices, according to data from the Profile Study of Digital User 2017 by the Merca2.0 Researching Department.
Moreover, the study highlights that the three principal reasons why the other 40.1% does not use cybersecurity programs is because:
- The operative system that I use is free from virus.
- I generally surf on secured sites.
- I do not download files from sites I do not know.
The mentioned above let us know how cautious are Mexicans navigating the Internet, however, Merca2.0 comments that this can indicates a lack of caution since, “it is proved that virus and malwares spread for all types of sites and through diverse deception techniques.”
