China pursues probes against Microsoft ‘monopoly’
On January 5th 2016, was reported on Gulf news, that The Chinese government trough its body The State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), is seeking information to probe the Microsoft’s monopoly.
This Chinese government body is in charge to enforce the anti-monopoly law and recently, has asked Microsoft to clarify major issues relating to a monopoly case. On Tuesday, SAIC asked Microsoft to explain issues found in electronic data which was obtained by them from the company. As well as a request to submit evidence to clarify the situation. Microsoft has not answered so far.
It was not only the first time for SIAC to do it; in recent years it has set up probes against more foreign firms.
