Cyber – Nowadays, media outlets engage daily in cyber-related topics and terms such as hackers, leaks, privacy, cyber threats, social media, Darknet, Bitcoin, cellular applications, phishing, ransomware and more. Indeed, along with the benefits and opportunities, cyberspace generates a wide range of challenges, threats and changes for individuals, organizations, companies and countries, carried out by various malicious elements.

CyBureau is an initiative founded by Tal Pavel, Ph.D., lecturer and researcher of the Internet, cybersecurity, cyber threats and cyber policy for several academic institutions, and a keynote speaker at international conferences.

CyBureau’s vision and mission is to increase the general public’s knowledge of cyberspace challenges, thus enabling cyber awareness and empowerment to every one of us – the citizens of this modern, digital and cyber world.

CyBureau’s website contains a cyber news section created by Dr. Tal Pavel in December 2008. This section comprises news items and reports on a wide range of cyber events worldwide. Since the end of 2008, Dr. Pavel has written more than 1,477 articles. Several hundred were translated into 20 languages by 36 of the company’s translators and writers.

Internship – the vision of the internship program is to join forces, based on the crowdsourcing model, into a community of doers, generators of change in terms of cyber awareness, to make a real change in our societies and their cyber resilience.

Since cyber is far more than technology, the interns’ activities and contributions may relate to a wide range of topics, not necessarily to technologies. CyBureau’s aim is to leverage and improve people’s cyber knowledge, not technologies.

You can get involved in CyBureau’s activities and contribute according to your knowledge, skills, profession and interests. This may include writing, editing and translating cyber-related news items for CyBureau’s website; initiating and being involved in projects for and with the community; media outlets and social media activities; events and conferences; managing relations with academia, customers, corporations and related agencies.

The benefits for the interns are the opportunity to take part in and contribute to a grassroots initiative to make a better and more cyber aware community, along with the opportunity to implement and improve their skills, professions and knowledge, and be enriched as well by the chance of increasing their professional experience and expertise. And above all, be the generators of change.
