Another suspected infected email distributed in Israel
Another email containing suspected malware recently targeted Israeli users.
The message was sent on June 10 by an account associated with Ohad Levine, a researcher and director of internet media at the Ashkubit Hashomron news service.
Included in the mail with a subject line claiming Israel’s Chief of Staff said the country’s air-force was “prepared to attack al-Qaeda fighters” was a 1.7 MB attachment named “Chief of Staff Gantz.rar.”
The attachment is suspected as infected.
Note: details of the email account have been omitted to protect the privacy of the individual associated with it and who may have not been aware the account was used for a malicious attack.
