Inter-Arab conferences in the field of cyber security challenges

On June 21st, a post was published regarding the cooperation between Egypt and Oman for a regional conference dealing with cyber threats.

Nispana Company active in India and UAE in the field of business intelligence has signed with the Oman CERT (OCERT) cooperation in the creation, development and management of the Fifth Regional Conference for cyber security to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh between October 30 to November 1, 2016, in conjunction with Egyptian communication authority (NTRA).

The conference organized by ITU – Arab Regional Cybersecurity Center (ITU-ARCC) and will focus on cooperation between the 22 Arab countries and North Africa in combating cyber crime and promoting safe web environment for users, cooperation between the public, private and academic sectors. The conference will include representatives from a variety of sectors and it is estimated that more than 300 senior information security managers and cyber security professionals from across the Middle East will take part in it.

In addition, the CERT body of the “Organization of the Islamic State” (OIC-CERT) will hold its eighth annual conference entitled “Towards Resilient Cyber ​​Ummah” between the dates of 11-14 December 2016 at the offices of the OIC in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The conference will include a four-day meeting of the Steering Committee of the OIC-CERT, technology workshop (open to all) and a strategic session (open only to members of the organization) and the committee itself which will place on the last day and will focus on the subject of the conference while divided into different seats.
