Malaysia and its previous relations with Cybersecurity
Recently Malaysia has been at the top on Cybersecurity. As we could see first of all, with the two agreements signed with India (put the link of the past item) on the last days. However, Malaysia has been interested on cybersecurity before.
Two months ago in October 27th, ‘GovInsider’ reported that Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, a Malaysian police chief, said that it was needed it to train officer on cybersecurity to be capable to handle with cibercrimes. The police chief was looking for the cooperation of The National University of Malaysia to train the police. As well as using course provided by the new Interpol Global Complex.
Furthermore, at the beginning of this month previously to sign the two agreements with India, The Malaysia Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that Malaysia was keen to boost cybersecurity, reported the webpage ‘astro AWANI’ the second of December. But not only that, Ahmad Zahid was reported to spoke with his Italian colleague the politician Angelino Alfano on a meeting, where they discussed some cooperation. Malaysia, commented Ahmad Zahid, had plans to send police and costume officers to Italy to learn form it.
